FRIENDS ARE IMPORTANT

I dedicate this book to my friends because they really are important to me, and that is what my essay is about.

Do you think your friends are important to you the most? Well, wrong. My friends are the most important to me, because my friends help me, they are kind and they make me have fun. That’s why my friends are important to me the most.

One example of friends being important is when friends help you. Once I was playing multiplication dice. I rolled the colored foam dice. It bounced in the air on its vertexes. I was sweating to get a good problem.
“Come on, come on! You can do it”, I thought. I got 4x6. “23???” I said, confused. Tyler shook his head, “Nope!,”. Tyler showed me a trick for multiplication. “You can do 4x6 easy! You count 6 four times or 4 six times. Let’s practice”.
“8x4 is 32”, I said. “2x8 is 16. 1x5. I know that one by heart. What you talkin’ about, Willis???! 5”.
“You got it”, said Tyler.
“Let’s try the one you got wrong. 4x6”, Tyler said.
“24”.
“You got it”.
I felt great. That’s one example of friends being important when friends help you.

Another example of friends being important is when friends are kind. One example of friends being kind is when the line in lunch was SSUUUPER long! One day in school it was lunch. I was at the end of the human ocean (also known as The Long Line). “This is going to take forever”, I thought. It felt like a week and the line hasn’t moved an inch. I asked my friend, Irving if I could cut him. “Sure”, he said. I was ecstatic. That’s one example of friends being important when friends are kind.

The last example of friends being important is when friends make me have fun. Like once friends have been making me have fun is when they came to my birthday party. Here’s the story of that time. It was a sunny day at the Emagine Theatre and all my friends and cousins were there. We got the half popcorn before the movie. Since our room was big, we played tag. I was “It” first. I burst to my friends and cousins as fast as a bullet coming out of a gun. Whoosh, Bam, TAG! I tagged Evan (my cousin). Easy, Peasy!! I burst away and hid behind a chair. I was panting with worry.
“I think I lost him”, I thought. I looked in front of the chair . . .
“TAG”! Evan tagged me like cheesecake! I dashed from behind the chair to tag my friend, Sasha.
“TAG”, I said. I ran to a table and went under it.
“This is hopeless”, I wondered. Brandon looked like he needed help hiding. I grabbed his hand and ran into the drink bar. We sat there . . . and sat there . . . and sat. Then it was time for the movie. I was happy. That’s one example of friends being important when friends make me have fun.

That’s why friends are important when friends are kind, friends help you and friends make you have fun.
